New York holds some of the deepest jiu-jitsu in the world, and it is far too big for one guide. We cover it borough by borough. Each area gets the same treatment: verified facts per academy, no rankings, and the evidence behind every claim — including what a visit actually costs, and which free trials are fenced to residents.

    A Brooklyn grappling social club that publishes no address on any of its own channels, so it lives here rather than on an area page. What it does publish: $220/mo with a $30 mat fee, one named beginners hour (NoGi Beginners, Wednesday 6–7 PM), and its founder Alex Bednenko (1984–2020), whom the club outlived — no current instructor is named.
