How we verify
Every fact on this site is a byte read from a published page on a date, kept together with the page and the date. This is the whole method, in plain terms, and the list of things it refuses to do.
One fact, one receipt
Each fact on an academy card, the first-visit line, the schedule, the address, the price sheet, links the page it was read on and shows the date it was read. Behind it sits the quoted byte from that page, the operator's own words. A fact without a source is not published; a source without a date is not a source.
What a guide entry needs
A room appears in a city guide with a full entry only when its name, address, schedule and first-visit line were read on the academy's own page, or on a federation or network registry where the receipt says so. A room we recorded but could not read that far is listed as pending or not at all, with the reason. A field the page does not settle is marked as such rather than guessed.
Twelve editions, one set of facts
Every page is published in twelve languages, and every edition carries the same facts: the same quoted bytes, the same numbers, the same links. Machine gates compare each edition against the English for structure, links and figures, keep quoted bytes verbatim, and flag any post whose translations fall behind its source before it ships.
Dates and freshness
A read date is a promise about that day, not about today. Each field carries an expiry, and a standing reverification pass re-reads what has aged, quotes it again, and re-stamps it; a page that has moved or stopped printing a fact loses that fact until it can be read again.
What we refuse to do
- Rank academies, name a best gym, or call any city the cheapest.
- Narrate experience the writer has not had: rounds not rolled, partners not met, months not trained.
- Promise how long a belt takes, or give medical advice; the health posts cite the literature and stop there.
- Read "unknown" as "free" or "unpriced" as "free": a page that prints nothing has promised nothing.
- Publish anything in fewer than twelve editions.
Corrections
If a line is wrong, the academy's own page wins: write to us and it is corrected, and the correction carries its own date. A row whose page prints two conflicting amounts carries both and enters no median until it is settled.
The data, for people and for machines
The first-visit study rolls the guides' facts up city by city and publishes its rows as a CC BY 4.0 dataset. For answer engines, llms.txt and llms-full.txt carry the guides with each fact's source and read date.
