How we verify

One fact, one receipt

Each fact in the detail lists of a full academy entry, the first-visit line, the schedule, the address, the price sheet, links the page it was read on and shows the date it was read. Behind most of them sits the line quoted from that page, the operator's own words; a few are derived from the page or observed by the editor, and the record says which. The fit statement above the lists is the editor's reading of that record and carries no link of its own. A fact without a source is not published; a source without a date is not a source. A room listed as pending shows one date, the latest read among the facts recorded for it, not a receipt per fact.

What a guide entry needs

A room appears in a city guide with a full entry only when its name and affiliation, its address, a first-visit line or a schedule, and a way to reach it were read on published pages, and each receipt names its page: the academy's own, a federation or network registry, or, for an address, a directory cross-check. The entry also needs a fit statement the record supports and a clear safety review. A room we recorded but could not read that far is listed as pending or not at all. A field the page does not settle is left out rather than guessed, or printed with its qualification where the record carries one.

Twelve editions, one set of facts

Every guide, post and study page is published in twelve languages, and every edition carries the same facts: the same quoted lines, the same numbers, the same links. Before a change ships, four checks are run by hand, and each is narrower than it sounds: one hashes the body of every English post and flags any edited since its editions were last verified; one compares the blog links inside each edition's body to the English; one counts first-person markers in each edition against thresholds, a heuristic for narration the English does not carry; and one holds the quoted lines in the guides to their English bytes after folding typography, case and spacing, with a short list of older exceptions it may not grow. None of them establishes that structure or figures match; that is read.

Dates and freshness

A read date is a promise about that day, not about today. Each field carries an expiry, and a field past its window fails the record's validator until an editor deals with it. A monthly reverification pass re-checks the recorded evidence: where the page still carries the line, the pass refreshes the date; where it does not, the field goes to an editor, who re-reads the page and rewrites the field or withdraws it; a field already past its expiry that the pass cannot confirm is marked stale. Nothing is withdrawn on the day a page changes, and a stale field nobody has re-read still shows its old date.

What we refuse to do

• Rank academies, name a best gym, or call any city the cheapest.
• Narrate experience the writer has not had: rounds not rolled, partners not met, months not trained.
• Promise how long a belt takes, or give medical advice; the health posts cite the literature and stop there.
• Read "unknown" as "free" or "unpriced" as "free": a page that prints nothing has promised nothing.
• Publish a guide, a post or the study in fewer than twelve editions.

Corrections

If a line is wrong, the academy's own page wins: write to us and it is corrected, and the correction carries its own date. Where a page prints two conflicting amounts, both are recorded and neither enters a median until it is settled.

The data, for people and for machines

The first-visit study rolls the guides' facts up city by city; every figure stands academy by academy on the guides with its source page and read date, and the compiled rows are not distributed as a file. For answer engines, llms.txt lists the site's pages, and llms-full.txt carries the posts, this page and the study's city-level figures. Each academy's first-visit terms and receipts are on its city guide.
