Learning jiu-jitsu in Dubai
Dubai is the sport's franchise market — the second economy of the country whose capital is jiu-jitsu's institutional home, 140 km down the coast. Where Abu Dhabi trains the sport in its schools, police and armed forces, Dubai sells it over the counter: Roger Gracie's association keeps its one UAE room here, 10th Planet its one room in the region, and the market speaks the richest visitor dialect this research has recorded in the Emirates — a literal 'Drop-In Pass — AED 100 + VAT per class' named for travellers, a named free one-day full-access pass, free first classes, and a full published AED grid beside the enquiry-only funnels. The city divides into three belts — the west (the Marina coast and the Al Quoz warehouse corridor), the villa-suburb south, and Deira and the east, the old city — and we cover and release it the same way: the west opens the map, and the rest of the city joins as its verification closes. Note it publishes on the male-class page; no ladies-BJJ product appears on the academy's channel, so women interested in BJJ here should ask the academy directly)
