Learning jiu-jitsu in Lisbon
Lisbon is the guide's first Portuguese metro, and it is a registry city: the national federation, FPJJB, publishes its affiliated academies region by region — with one surprise, that the Lisbon metro files under the federation's Centro region, not Sul. What the metro's own channels then show is a two-register market. In the city centre, Five Elements prints its entire price card and charges the first class like any other — «20€ por aula», the single-class rate applied to the «aula introdutória/experimental». On the coast belt, the register flips: Gracie Barra's two schools and Carlson Gracie all start free or by simple contact, led by «Agende uma aula grátis». One honesty note: the south bank across the Tagus has a real scene — Gracie Barra doors in Almada and Amora, a Brazilian network's five rooms — but not one of those rooms prints a street address on any channel this research can read, so they are recorded, not listed.
