Learning jiu-jitsu in Rome
This guide covers Rome proper — the districts inside the GRA ring. Two full entries and fourteen recorded rooms. Gracie Barra Roma at Viale Castro Pretorio 88-90, by Termini, runs under James Lima — a Brazilian-formed black-belt maestro by the site's own telling, shaped under Carlos Alberto Liberi — and answers the first-visit question in its own FAQ: a «lezione introduttiva gratuita», free and without obligation. Fukuro Roma at Via Antonino Campanozzi 34 in the east runs its whole site on «Prenota una prova gratuita» and names its BJJ maestro, Alejandro Gonzalez. The other fourteen — from Tribe House up in Roma Nord to Mandraccio training inside two fight houses — are recorded from the FIJLKAM Lazio roll, address by address. And one honest fact about this city: no door prints a price. For someone just starting, the real question is not "which academy is best" but "which one fits me."
