Berlin Martial Arts Group lets a newcomer attend any classes they like for two weeks — 'zwei Wochen alle gewünschten Kurse' — and there is plenty to attend: Brazilian jiu-jitsu on four evenings, No Gi grappling on two, a two-hour open mat on Saturday mornings, judo on Mondays, and children's jiu-jitsu from age four. After that it is 60 € a month for adults and 50 € for children, with a 25 € joining fee and a two-month notice period on both sides, which is the clause to read before signing. The club is a Hilti BJJ member and, unusually, that is confirmed from both directions — the club says so and the network's own site lists it. Its head instructor, Selim Bugur, publishes a black belt, a Jeet Kune Do instructorship, a wrestling coaching role and a German Ju Jutsu coaching licence; he names the men who graded him, and we report that as the club's own account rather than an established lineage, because the grantors' side does not confirm it. The trial is free and needs no arrangement: come during opening hours and speak to the team at the entrance. Membership is a grid — a 29.90 € joining fee, then from 89 € a month for four classes on three months down to 69 € on twelve, or ten-class cards from 125 €, including an early-bird card valid only before 2 p.m. Head coach Felipe Cançado publishes a second-degree black belt and a competition record, and the room's own account is that he trained at a Gracie academy in Rio and opened what it calls the first official Gracie academy in Berlin — its claim, reported as its claim. Membership is 15 € a month, 9 € reduced for students, apprentices, pensioners and people on benefits, 5 € for under-18s, with a one-off 10 € joining fee — and up to three free trial sessions before any of that. One thing to get right: this club counts heads before every session. Put your name in its calendar by the evening before, marked '(Probe)' for a trial, and its newsletter carries per-session sign-up links. The deepest bench of graded coaches in Kreuzberg, published in more detail than almost any room in this city. Morrocoyo BJJ — which signs itself 'Morrocoyo BJJ I GFTeam 61' — puts seven coaches on its own page with their belts, and four of them write out who promoted them and where: a second-degree black belt graded in 2018 by Mariusz 'Manolo' Linke, one who took purple under Dave Camarillo before finishing his black belt with GF Team in Berlin, one who went white to black under Gabriel Rainho and Arno Spreen. Those are the room's own accounts of its own coaches, reported as such, and they tell a beginner what the room values. The programme is five blocks — gi, No-Gi grappling, a women-only grappling course, strength and conditioning, and children from five to twelve — a few minutes from Gneisenaustraße or Südstern. What the site does not carry is the practical layer: no prices anywhere, and the timetable lives in a phone app the room names but we cannot open. The way in is a form — send the trial request and ask in the same message what the class times are and what the trial costs, because the room does not say it is free

An MMA gym by Samariterstraße that takes its jiu-jitsu seriously enough to explain the belt system on its own page, and whose head grappling coach is a black belt: Martino Sacchi, who began with judo in Italy at twelve, moved to Brazilian jiu-jitsu at sixteen, trained in Belo Horizonte and took his black belt in Spain in 2020. The first class is free. After that the pricing has a shape worth seeing coming: joining is not a fee but a product — a 49 € starter package with a wristband, a shirt and an app — and a women-only offer starts at 89 € a month with that 49 € waived. For an occasional visitor there is a 30 € day card, buyable only in person at the gym. What this dossier cannot give you is the timetable: no class time appears anywhere in readable form, and the only sentence that comes close is a customer's review, which is not a schedule. Ask for the jiu-jitsu times when you book the free trial. One more thing, because it would be easy to misread: the gym does run a waitlist, and it is for its HYROX fitness course, not for jiu-jitsu

It is a fourteen-sport association whose footer reveals what the jiu-jitsu section actually is: 'GFTeam Kreuzberg 36 BJJ'. Gi and no-gi are taught in the same session rather than split, which suits a beginner who does not yet know which they prefer; adult classes are 16 and over, with a free children's class from six. The price is association-level — 30 € a month or 80 € a quarter under a fee ordinance dated January 2026 — and two clauses in it are worth reading first: notice runs to the end of a half-year, not a month, and late payment is published as grounds for immediate exclusion from training.
