Learning jiu-jitsu in Santiago
Santiago is this guide's first Chilean city, and an own-channel city: seven academies publish their facts on their own sites. Two print a full weekly grid in text (EDJ Las Condes, Kingsman in Huechuraba); Kingsman prints a $15.000 day pass, De La Riva and Roots print monthly prices, RF Las Condes prints $7.000 per class; and five doors say in their own words that the first class is free («clase de prueba gratuita», «Tu primera clase es completamente gratis», «Primera clase GRATIS», «Prueba una disciplina sin costo»). The networks are the thin side: Gracie Barra, Checkmat, Alliance and Brotherhood live on social channels or dead domains, so they appear as recorded rows with the address the city's sports directory prints. For someone starting out, the real question is not «which gym is the best» but «which one fits me»; this guide exists to answer that.
