Learning jiu-jitsu in San Diego
San Diego is one of the densest jiu-jitsu cities in America — the Atos network keeps its world headquarters here, Gracie Barra and 10th Planet both hold doors, and the surf-town north county trains as hard as the city. This guide covers five rooms across two areas, every one verified against its own published pages. The registers split honestly: Atos prints its full weekday grid and «a 30-minute free intro class» (with its own printed condition that the free trial is for San Diego locals); Studio 540 prices the first step at «$0» on a page of its own; Gracie Barra routes everything through a booked one-on-one intro meeting where the price also lives. No rankings — verified facts per academy and the evidence behind every claim.
What a first visit costs in San Diego
Of the 3 academies this guide covers, 1 print a free first class with no condition, 1 a free one with a condition, 0 print a price for it, 0 say to book and find out, 1 publish enrolment or enquiry details without a trial offer, and 0 have no readable first-visit terms.
Fewer than 5 academies have a published monthly rate included in the study, so this hub does not show a median.
