Learning jiu-jitsu in Miami
Miami is the guide's second US-depth city, and its map carries a lesson: the names say Miami, the addresses split across a county line. Miami-Dade holds the metro's oldest Gracie house — Valente Brothers, «founded in 1993» by its own account, with a dedicated free-class page: «Try a Free Jiu-Jitsu Class in Miami» — beside Hialeah's MMA Masters and its printed BJJ grid, and American Top Team's Aventura/NMB door with «Book a free trial class.» North of the line, the Broward belt holds 10th Planet's Miramar room (a free trial through the form) and the American Top Team world headquarters, recorded honestly: the pro-team surface prints no beginner path, so the record carries the address and the phone and nothing invented. Free is this metro's register — three of the four full rooms open with a free class. No rankings — verified facts per academy and the evidence behind every claim.
What a first visit costs in Miami
Of the 4 academies this guide covers, 3 print a free first class with no condition, 0 a free one with a condition, 0 print a price for it, 1 say to book and find out, 0 publish enrolment or enquiry details without a trial offer, and 0 have no readable first-visit terms.
Fewer than 5 academies have a published monthly rate included in the study, so this hub does not show a median.
Ask before you go
- Is the first class free for a visitor, or only for someone who intends to join?
- Is a gi lent for the first class, and what does one cost to buy?
- What does a month cost without a contract, and is there a joining fee?
