If you may join: a two-week trial across every course, in the club's own words a fortnight in which you may attend any class you like; no price is printed for it and no free claim either, so ask when you book. Who this academy suits
The most generous first visit in Kreuzberg, attached to one of the best-published timetables. Berlin Martial Arts Group lets a newcomer attend any classes they like for two weeks — 'zwei Wochen alle gewünschten Kurse' — and there is plenty to attend: Brazilian jiu-jitsu on four evenings, No Gi grappling on two, a two-hour open mat on Saturday mornings, judo on Mondays, and children's jiu-jitsu from age four. After that it is 60 € a month for adults and 50 € for children, with a 25 € joining fee and a two-month notice period on both sides, which is the clause to read before signing. The club is a Hilti BJJ member and, unusually, that is confirmed from both directions — the club says so and the network's own site lists it. Its head instructor, Selim Bugur, publishes a black belt, a Jeet Kune Do instructorship, a wrestling coaching role and a German Ju Jutsu coaching licence; he names the men who graded him, and we report that as the club's own account rather than an established lineage, because the grantors' side does not confirm it. Two practical notes: the mat is at Wilhelmstraße 22 and the Neukölln address on the registry is the club's office, not a place to train; and the Saturday afternoon children's class is invitation-only
