Learning jiu-jitsu in Ulaanbaatar

Ulaanbaatar is the capital of the only country on earth where the jiu-jitsu-specific census instrument reports more academies than the general one — about seventy academies sit on the AJP accreditation roll, eleven of them seated in Ulaanbaatar. This page writes only what that roll says: every club channel the roll points at is a walled social profile, so the printed phone numbers are the doors. Ralph Gracie Mongolia is the biggest room by the roll's own count (306 members), with Thunder BJJ Academy in Songino Khairkhan district (159) behind it. Even the addresses work the city's way: seats printed as plus codes (ULTIMAX, Khan-Uul, JUMP, Almighty), one printed as walking directions in Mongolian (BERS), and one as a mall floor — the 7th floor of Soyolj Mall, where the roll's printed operator label carries one of Mongolian judo's most famous names (Tsagaanbaatar Academy). Times, prices and trials are all questions for each room itself. For someone just starting, the real question is not "which academy is best" but "which one fits me."
