Learning jiu-jitsu in east Mexico City
This guide covers the east — Venustiano Carranza, Iztacalco and Iztapalapa: 4 rooms recorded, 1 with a full entry. Dojo KNS (Ki No Sekai), on Acuario in El Prado Churubusco, is the area's published door: a house whose primary art is traditional, with a real weekly jiu-jitsu class on its own channel, and 'Agenda Clase Muestra' — the free first class — as the way in. Its timetable exists only as an image, so we do not reproduce it; ask before you go. The other three rooms sit on federation registrations that carry streets but no channel we read: a 39-member room on Calzada Ignacio Zaragoza in Jardín Balbuena, its second mat on Calzada Ermita Iztapalapa in Santa María Aztahuacan — a different alcaldía on its own registration, which makes it a second room rather than a second listing — and a Prolongación Quetzal address in Colonia Paraíso whose two identities are joined by a single telephone number. Ecatepec, across the state line, was recorded at zero rostered rooms — the instrument improved, and rooms appeared. For someone just starting, the real question is not "which academy is best" but "which one fits me."

Who this academy suits
A karate dojo in Iztapalapa that runs jiu-jitsu as a genuine programme rather than a line in its marketing — and one of very few rooms in the east of Mexico City that publishes an address and a phone number of its own. The house is Ki No Sekai Karate-Do, at Acuario #7 in El Prado Churubusco, and it gives Brazilian jiu-jitsu two pages of its own: one for teenagers and adults, which says its classes are designed for adults who are just starting, and one for children, each with its own place in the navigation. The way in is a trial class — offered in both of the city's phrasings, 'Agenda Clase Muestra' and 'Ven a una clase de prueba' — arranged on WhatsApp at 55 1496 1726 or by telephone on 55 5672 7956. Two things to settle before you go, both stated by the site itself: it publishes no prices at all and invites you to ask, and its timetable page contains no times. The schedule is published as a single image, which you can open on the room's own page but which this research does not transcribe or guess at; its filename dates it to February 2026, so confirm the current hours when you message. Set expectations on the primary art too: this is a karate house first, with jiu-jitsu as a real second programme
