Learning jiu-jitsu in the Eixample
This guide covers Barcelona's central grid, the Eixample. Six records, four with full entries — and this corridor plans for the visitor more explicitly than anywhere else in this corpus. Gracie Barra Barcelona (Aragó 109-111) prints a dedicated «visitantes» tier — 35€ a day, 99€ a week, 170€ a month — so any length of visit has a named price before you write, and the mat is led by a 5th-degree black belt, Leandro Gontijo Fernandes, by the school's own page. Atos Barcelona (Carrer d'Entença) greets the newcomer with «Prueba 1 semana gratis!!» — a whole week free (its site is a JavaScript app, so the timetable and street number are phone questions: that gap is ours). El Club de la Lucha (Casp 147) prints «prueba una clase gratis sin ningún compromiso» — a free class, no commitment. And Gullo Jiu-Jitsu (Viladomat 88) publishes the rare complete credential: a 2nd-degree black belt WITH its grantors named — Marcelo "Cyborg" & Careca — plus belt-graded level tracks and a women-only «Solo Chicas» class. The two other records (Union MMA, MMA Barcelona Team) are channel-less registry addresses, published as exactly that. For someone just starting, the real question is not "which academy is best" but "which one fits me."

ATOS JIU JITSU BARCELONA — in its own words one of the world's best BJJ schools, San Diego-headquartered, «sin duda la mejor escuela de Barcelona», led by Gustavo Galvao. Boxing beside the BJJ and a youth line. The superlative is the operator's own voice, carried as its voice
Who this academy suits
The widest free window in the city: a whole week free for newcomers, against single free classes elsewhere. The Atos network's Barcelona room, led by Gustavo Galvao in its own words, with the house superlative carried as its own voice. BJJ with a youth line and boxing beside, on Entença in the Eixample, gym open 10–14 and 16:30–21:30. Two honest gaps, both ours: the JS app's timetable and street number never reach a non-executing reader — call for the grid and the exact door
Why we say it: All from the room's own homepage, read 2026-08-20; robots open. The free-week byte, Galvao attribution, superlative, hours, youth line and phone are operator bytes. The SPA gaps are recorded as OURS (§8.6); the registry street byte stands; pricing and capacity not found (§19.4)

- A FREE WEEK, in the operator's own words: new? try one week free. The widest free window published in this city
- Class schedule
- The homepage publishes gym hours (10:00–14:00 and 16:30–21:30) and class lines (BJJ, youth BJJ 10–14, boxing). The per-class timetable lives behind the site's JS shell, which this instrument does not execute — that gap is ours. Call for the grid

- Carrer d'Entença, Barcelona — the registry byte, street-level; the channel confirms the operation but its address block renders client-side. The phone is the precision route

EL CLUB DE LA LUCHA BARCELONA — a martial-arts club on Carrer de Casp in the Eixample, with BJJ and Grappling as named lines on its own navigation. The invitation is the house's own: come by, try a class, no commitment
Who this academy suits
The city's plainest invitation: printed twice — try a class free, no commitment — the first free way onto a Barcelona mat this research read. BJJ and Grappling as named lines on Casp 147 in the Eixample. What the channel doesn't publish, this file doesn't either: no price grid on the read pages, no coach named with a belt, the timetable in the page's own widget. For someone who wants to feel a room before spending a euro, this is the door
Why we say it: All from the club's own channel (homepage, /horarios, /contacto), read 2026-08-20; robots open. The free-trial byte (twice), the full address, both phones and the BJJ/Grappling lines are operator bytes. The trial is FREE under the trial-word law — «gratis» beside the word decides; pricing and capacity recorded as not found by our instrument (§19.4)

GRACIE BARRA BARCELONA — the network's Barcelona school on Carrer d'Aragó in the Eixample: BJJ for adults and kids, the GB programme furniture, and a price list that plans explicitly for the traveling grappler with a dedicated visitor tier
Who this academy suits
The clearest door in this city for the traveling grappler: a printed visitor tier — 35€/day, 99€/week, 170€/month — so any length of visit has a named price before you write. Residents get the full arithmetic: 85/95/110€ a month, 60€ matrícula, a mandatory 60€/year insurance, semestral deals waiving both. Led by a 5th-degree black belt, Leandro Gontijo Fernandes, with IBJJF titles across Europe (club-published, no grantor). On Aragó 109–111 in the Eixample
Why we say it: All from the school's own channel (/tarifas, /profesores, /contacto), read 2026-08-20; robots WP-standard. The visitor tier, adult grid, matrícula, seguro and the head instructor's belt and record are operator bytes, decimal-comma preserved. The 5th-degree belt is club-published with no grantor (§10.10); the registry street-only byte carried; capacity unfound (§19.4)

GULLO JIU JITSU BARCELONA — a BJJ-only academy on Calle Viladomat in the Eixample: gi and no-gi year-round, level tracks graded by belt, kids 5 to 15, and a women-only «Solo Chicas» class beside the mixed ones
Who this academy suits
The most completely credentialed independent mat in this file: the profile card names the belt AND the hands it came from — a 2nd-degree black belt under Marcelo "Cyborg" & Careca. BJJ only, unusually structured for a beginner: tracks graded by your actual belt, gi and no-gi year-round, kids from five, a women-only class beside the mixed ones. Viladomat 88; trial and prices live in the booking app — reserve and ask
Why we say it: All from the academy's own channel, read 2026-08-20; robots open. The profile card with belt and grantors, the tracks, the Solo Chicas rule and the trial CTA are operator bytes; the fence rests on the channel's city title plus the registry byte. It differs by academy. Entries show where a fundamentals program and first-visit process are verified. For the rest, check with the academy before visiting. For what a first class actually feels like, see the beginner posts on our blog.
